Court date Jan 26 2010 SCROLL DOWN

[note - all mistakes below are original to the text]

Thank you for sending me this.  I've heard this rumor often - so I'm glad to have the chance to straighten it out for you.  This chain email is really making the rounds.

I can't tell you how many reputable places have said that Obama is a citizen.  Many of them even reference false emails like this one that get sent around but are absolutely false.  No judge will hear this case because it's widely known to be baseless.

First - if you would like to see a very nonpartisan group's research, AND SEE THE DOCUMENTS ONLINE - go to this website:

Another nonpartisan group (in that they attack Democrats and Republicans alike) put up some information online, which you can read here:

Finally, this exact email was addressed on a website called  This is what the site says:

"Dr. Orly Taitz Esq. has acted as counsel in cases of military personnel refusing deployment orders on the grounds that the military's commander-in-chief, President Barack Obama, is not eligible to hold that position.  All of those suits have been dismissed, and at the conclusion of one of the more recent cases (Rhodes v. MacDonald), U.S. District Court Judge Clay D. Land imposed a $20,000 fine on Dr. Taitz as a sanction for her misconduct in violating the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, noting that:

When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law.  When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for a political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law.

When a lawyer personally attacks opposing parties and disrespects the integrity of the judiciary, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law.  When a lawyer recklessly accuses a judge of violating the Judicial Code of Conduct with no supporting evidence beyond her dissatisfaction with the judge's rulings, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law.  When a lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law, that lawyer ceases to advance her cause or the ends of justice.

A similar suit (Barnett v. Obama) recently came before U.S. District Court Judge David O. Carter.  Contrary to what is claimed in the example block above, Judge Carter has not "refused to hear Obama's request for dismissal" of the suit, nor will he be ordering "Obama to release his birth certificate in a timely manner."  The reference case has already been dismissed by Judge Carter, who concluded his 29 October 2009 order granting the defendants' Motion to Dismiss with the following statement:

Plaintiffs have encouraged the Court to ignore mandates of the Constitution; to disregard the limits on its power put in place by the Constitution; and to effectively overthrow a sitting president who was popularly elected by "We the People" - over sixty-nine million of the people.  Plaintiffs have attacked the judiciary, including every prior court that has dismissed their claim, as unpatriotic and even treasonous for refusing to grant their requests for and adhering to the terms of the Constitution which set forth its jurisdiction.  Respecting the constitutional role and jurisdiction of this Court is not unpatriotic.  Quite the contrary, this Court considers commitment to that constitutional role to be the ultimate reflection of patriotism."

I get it if you don't agree with Obama's politics - that's fine.  Republicans were in charge for a long time and I'm sure it's an adjustment being on the losing side of a presidential election.  That's the beauty of a democracy...sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but everyone gets their chance at the top.

I hope this email helps clear up this issue for you and you can forget these silly lies that are all over the internet.
